Senior PCB Designer
Emerson Network Power, Embedded Computing is a leading provider

We are looking for an experienced
Senior P.C. Board Designer to join the Emerson team at our Madison,
WI facility.
Job Summary/Purpose: Responsible for the activities
related to all aspects of printed circuit board (PCB) design
in the I/O products development group. Works on PCB designs of
moderate to high complexity. Acts as a liaison to Manufacturing
Engineering, PCB vendors and outside PCB design houses. Provides
input and leadership in the area of process improvement within
Engineering. Recommends design tools and software for the PCB
design process.
Position Responsibilities:
• Review and interpret specifications and standards.
• Generate PCB design requirements.
• Create highly complex PCB Designs.
• Act as a mentor to less experienced PCB designers.
• Provide PCB-related guidance to hardware engineers
Job Qualifications
and Requirements:
Associate’s degree in a computer-related
field, or equivalent. IPC Designers Council certification is
desirable. 5+ years of experience in PCB design. An advanced
level of PCB design ability, including knowledge of DFM and DFT.
Candidate will be able to work independently and budget time
among several tasks. Process improvement, PCB design task scheduling,
and strong communication skills required. Knowledge of PC software
tools for PCB design (Pads and Expedition experience preferred).

Senior Trade Compliance Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Senior Trade Compliance Specialist to
join the Emerson Network Power Embedded Computing business unit
headquarters in Madison, WI.
Position Summary
The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist will be responsible for
planning, organizing and implementing policies and procedures that
ensure effective compliance to all applicable import and export
regulatory requirements worldwide, including training and auditing
functions.
The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist will also . . .
- Act as a resource to related entities to provide technical
expertise in supporting the resolution of import and export
compliance issues. May include investigation and analysis and/or
definition of corrective measures.
- Develop and conducts worldwide export, re-export and import
compliance training
- Conducts regular periodic audits to evaluate import/export
compliance performance
- Monitor and assists in revising legislation, as appropriate,
with respect to import and export compliance activities.
- Conduct or assist with internal investigations or analysis
of any alleged or suspected non-compliant transactions. Define
and/or assist in definition of and implement corrective action
as necessary.
- Provide technical expertise to direct or resolve any import/export
compliance related matters.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or
law and 4-8 years import/export compliance accountability in
industry position

Software Design Engineer II
Emerson Network Power – Embedded Computing is a leading
provider of boards, software and sub-systems for worldwide teledatacom™ networks
and real-time communication applications. We provide the core

We are looking for an experienced
Software Design Engineer to join our team at our Madison, WI
facility.
Position Summary
Responsible for the development and support
of embedded software for the company’s
products including initialization and power-up diagnostic software, functional
test software, design verification software, board support package software,
and driver software. Also responsible for assisting with debugging of hardware
prototypes.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist with feasibility studies on proposed projects.
- Participate
in the preparation of software documents including, but not
necessarily limited to: Requirements Specifications, Design
Specifications, and Design Verification plans.
- Provide input
to project plans for software project estimation and scheduling.
- Capable of high-level software design.
- Complete low-level
software design without need for guidance from others.
- Write,
modify, or port code. Document, test, and debug resulting
software.
Position Requirements
- BSEE or BSCE or equivalent.
- 3+ years
experience with programming in C and assembly languages in
an embedded environment.
- Familiarity with the architectures
and electronic hardware encountered in microprocessor-based
systems.
- Basic ability to debug hardware and software system
issues using commonly available tools and techniques.

Field Application Engineers
The Field Applications Engineer is the primary
technical resource for pre-sale support activities. The position
requires the ability to assist our customers and prospects in system
architectural design, solving technical problems, and developing
technical proposals to meet their application needs utilizing Emerson
products. Additionally, some post-sale involvement is expected prior to
transitioning customer to product support organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work closely with prospects and customers to define
application needs and design requirements.
- Determine and provide quality solutions that best
promote Embedded Computing’s products.
- Provide technical support to prospects/customers
during evaluation periods.
- Perform live demonstrations of operational hardware
and software products.
- Serve as the primary technical interface between
prospects/customers, sales representatives, engineering,
marketing, or production.
- Provide technical support to sales for proposal
writing, trade-shows, training, product definition, and other
activities as required.
- Develop and deliver product training for customers,
prospects, and Emerson employees.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Master’s degree is desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork are required
as well as the ability to be a strong individual contributor capable of
working remotely with minimal supervision. Experience in interfacing
with multiple customers and prospects, applying effective
organizational skills for managing multiple tasks are required.
Knowledge of microprocessor based products, network and communication
processors, operating systems, and network interfaces.
Domestic travel required. Occasional international
travel required.
FAE positions are available in Ottawa, Ontario Canada
and in Paris, France. The position in France requires that the
candidates are fluent in written and spoken English.
